What is hypertension?

High blood pressure or hypertension is a potentially fatal condition where the blood pressure is constantly raising. Every pump your heart makes, it pumps blood throughout the rest of the body. Blood pressure is the magnitude of the blood pushing against the walls of the blood vessels. If this pressure is too powerful the heart will have to work harder. This is dangerous and could result in illnesses such as heart attacks and heart disease. Buying cheap prescription drugs including Lipitor and other hypertension medications can help to reduce hypertension in patients.

Several things could lead to hypertension but in most cases hypertension is preventable. A lack of exercise, smoking, and/or obesity could be the source of hypertension. In those instances prevention methods would have been best. You should get at least 30 minutes of exercise 3-4 times a week to maintain a healthy weight, and of course not smoking at all is your best option. Nicotine is very addictive and it’s best to not do it at all than to try to stop once you’ve started.

Hypertension is called by some, the silent killer, because often times people show no signs of the disease. It is imperattive to receive annual physicals so that doctors can monitor and note any changes within your body. Only in extreme cases will people show signs. Those signs are:

Bad headaches
Fatigue or confusion
Dizziness
Nausea
vision problems
Chest pains
Breathing problems
Irregular heartbeat
Blood in the urine

The best way to control hypertension is simply to not develop it. This means changing your entire lifestyle. Not a drastic change remember that small habits lead to permanent change. Eat more fruits and vegetables, drink more water, say no to drugs/alcohol, and exercise regularly. Read More
